Hi guys,

I'm trying to setup transaction logging for SuSE 9 with Domino 7.01 FPR1.
I've been told by IBM to create a mount (which I've called translogs) and
point the translogs file to that.

Unfortunately I've tried this and Domino doesn't start, it gets an NSD
error.

Can anyone advise me on what would be the correct procedure for setting up
translogs for Domino 7?

Thanks, Paul

Where is your mount point? Is it a subfolder of /local/notesdata? If it
is, for example, /local/notesdata/logdir then you need to specify 'logdir'
as the log path in the server document. If it's in another path
altogether, such as /mnt/logdir, you'll need to specify that path in the
server doc.

You should be aware that unless the mount point is on it's own disk there
will be no performance gain.
